The Witcher 3: Dev Responds To Graphics Downgrade Rumors, Choices Carry-over From First Two Games, PS4 Pre-load

CD Projekt’s Marcin Momot has released the following statement regarding the supposed downgrade of the upcoming The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Of course, he denied there’s been a downgrade in the visuals quality of the game at all.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

“Ok guys, I believe a word of clarification is required. These are just rumors, and as we’ve said before we don’t comment on such. Secondly you have to remember that our game is a big release – a lot of people have been anticipating it and quite a few would like to gain some publicity from it even when it means talking about things which are not true. Wild Hunt comes out in a few days and you will be able to find out for yourself if the game is up to your standards.

We believe so – we’ve worked really hard for 3 years to deliver you best possible experience – we love The Witcher as much as you do. To conclude we’d rather have you focus on the game and the fact that it’s going to be in your hand in a matter of days. And one more thing – whenever we say something officially, we always put a person behind it.”

Talking about PlayStation 4 pre-load, Momot said on Twitter:

“Yes. It should be coming to select territories (US, most of Europe, including Poland) later today.”

Regarding the day one patch for PlayStation 4, furthermore, Momot explained that…

“It will be automatically available when the game officially releases.”

More interestingly, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt won’t put any obstacle on the road of those gamers who haven’t played the first two episodes of Geralt’s saga:

“There will be a scene in the early part of the game where you can recreate your choices from W2.”
